Patient Transport Liaison Officer Based at John Radcliffe Hospital, Oxford. Full‑time, Permanent. 6 days covering Thursday to Wednesday, 08:00 – 20:00, 37.5 hr week. About the Role The PTLO bridges the gap between hospitals and the EMED operations team, working within the flow room and participating in site and bed meetings to understand hospital demands. You will be the primary contact for escalation within your designated trust, managing bed crises, patient queries, risk assessments, and coordinating between bed managers and EMED managers. Key Responsibilities Check and plan daily and future bookings within the Cleric controlling system, ensuring resourcing, and notifying sub‑contractors, taxis, and volunteers. Maintain patient flow across all control areas through liaison with colleagues and hospital staff, resolving urgent problems promptly. Attend meetings on an ad‑hoc basis and undertake general clerical duties such as data input and completing forms or invoices. Maintain and enhance the performance and quality of service provided to patients and customers. Build positive relationships with hospital wards, outpatient units, discharge lounges, and bed managers. Meet weekly with planning/control to forecast upcoming demand and ensure operational responsiveness. Assist operational managers with issues arising during the day. Respond to patient enquiries and questions as they arise. Familiarise yourself with EMED policies, procedures, and standard operating procedures.
