We have a fantastic opportunity for a Weekend Courier Driver to join our team based in Norfolk and Waveney due to continued growth. This is a part‑time role working every Saturday & Sunday, 08:00 am – 16:00 (16 hrs per week). The main purpose of the courier driver role is to contribute to the safe and timely movement and transportation of diagnostic samples, goods and equipment.
Responsibilities include:
- Carry out courier journeys to various locations and adhere to agreed routes and timings.
- Complete digital and manual documentation required by legislation and organisational procedures.
- Maintain regular contact with the operations office using communication systems.
- Ensure all items are kept safe and secure.
- Comply with the Road Traffic Act and other relevant legislation.
- Act as a customer contact at delivery points, relaying information to the operations office.
- Complete vehicle checks prior to use and notify defects.
- Maintain a polite and courteous manner with customers and road users.
Qualifications and skills:
- Full UK Manual Driving Licence (max 6 points).
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to use a PDA (training provided).
- Plan routes effectively.
- Good communicator, customer focused, calm under pressure.
- Problem‑solving skills.
- Literacy and numeracy skills, good attention to detail.
- Clear handwriting.
- Familiar with local and surrounding areas.
