We have a fantastic opportunity for a Courier Driver to join our team based in the Oldham area. This is a take-home vehicle position working full time (47.5 paid hours per week working Monday to Friday, 08:00-18:00). Please note, this is a 6 month fixed term contract.
The main purpose of the courier driver role is to contribute to the safe and timely movement and transportation of goods and equipment. The role will require excellent communication skills with customers, colleagues, and other stakeholders to maintain the highest standards. Using electronic and paper-based forms of recording tasks and items delivered and collected, making sure that all courier tasks are carried out correctly and to scheduled times. The role may involve heavy lifting/manual handling of equipment and goods, using a tail lift and loading/unloading and moving of Roll cages.
You will be driving vehicles from small vans, up to 3.5 tonne Luton vans, these can be driven on the category B part of the UK driving licence. You must have held a Full UK Manual Driving Licence for a minimum of 12 months and have no more than 6 penalty points.

Other duties include:
- To carry out courier journeys to various locations and to agreed routes and timings.
- To complete digital and manual documentation required by both legislation and organisational procedures.
- To maintain regular contact with the operations office using a range of communication systems.
- To ensure all items are always kept safe and secure.
- To always comply with the Road Traffic Act while driving and other relevant legislation connected to the vehicle.
- To act as customer contact at delivery points of service, and relay relevant information to the operations office.
- To complete vehicle checks prior to use, and to notify any defects to the Operations Office verbally and by recording on appropriate documentation.
- To always act in a polite and courteous manner to customers and road users.
