We have a fantastic opportunity for evening Courier Drivers to join our team based in Northwest London (NW10). The main purpose of the courier driver role is to contribute to the safe and timely movement and transportation of medical samples, consumables and medical information. The role will require excellent communication skills with customers, colleagues, and other stakeholders to maintain the highest standards.

Using electronic and paper-based forms of recording tasks and items delivered and collected, making sure that all courier tasks are carried out correctly and to scheduled times. The role may involve heavy lifting/manual handling of equipment and goods. The role will be driving vehicles from small vans to medium vans; these can be driven on the category B part of the UK Manual and Automatic driving licence. Vehicles will be taken home with no travel cost.

Other duties include:

  • To carry out courier journeys to various locations and to agreed routes and timings.
  • To complete digital and manual documentation required by both legislation and organisational procedures.
  • To maintain regular contact with the operations office using a range of communication systems.
  • To ensure all items are always kept safe and secure.
  • To always comply with the Road Traffic Act while driving and other relevant legislation connected to the vehicle.
  • To act as customer contact at delivery points of service, and relay relevant information to the operations office.
  • To complete vehicle checks prior to use, and to notify any defects to the Operations Office verbally and by recording on appropriate documentation.
  • To always act in a polite and courteous manner to customers and road users.

To be considered for this opportunity, you will need:

  • Must be able to use a PDA (training will be provided).

  • Familiar with the local and surrounding areas.

You must have held a Full UK Manual or Automatic Driving Licence for a minimum of 12 months and have no more than 6 penalty points.
