This full-time, on-site position offers opportunities for career growth and the chance to make a real difference every day by supporting patients of all ages on their journeys to and from medical facilities.

Responsibilities

  • Drive patients to and from medical appointments and between healthcare facilities, either working with a colleague or independently.
  • Assist in the transportation of end-of-life patients and ensure empathy is maintained at all times.
  • Build rapport by effectively communicating with patients and their relatives or friends.
  • Lift, secure and help patients in and out of the ambulance.
  • Assist with handing over patients to appropriate staff at treatment centres or hospitals, or to family or friends at home.
  • Transfer patients from beds to stretchers, chairs to chairs, or similar between hospital and other medical settings.
  • Ensure the ambulance is kept safe, clean and tidy.

Qualifications

  • Valid UK manual driving licence (minimum 6 points).
  • Flexible availability for shifts between 05:30am and 00:00am, Monday to Sunday.
  • Experience in care (e.g., HCA, support worker) is advantageous.
  • Commitment to patient care and an effective, empathetic communicator.
  • Physically fit for patient handling and moving.
  • Pass an enhanced DBS check (company funded).
  • Strong team-working and collaboration skills.
