We have a fantastic opportunity for Volunteer Car Drivers to join our Patient Transport Service in Burgess Hill, Sussex. As a Patient Transport Volunteer Driver, you will ensure vulnerable patients can access essential medical appointments on time and with comfort. Our volunteer team is diverse and committed to making a positive difference in the community. Safe, reliable transportation and compassionate support during appointments are at the heart of this role.
Responsibilities
- Drive patients to non‑emergency appointments
- Coordinate with dispatch teams for seamless operations
- Foster positive relationships within the community
- Provide safe and reliable transportation while offering reassurance and support
- Enjoy the autonomy of volunteering independently while knowing you have the backing of a supportive team
Qualifications & Requirements
- A valid driving licence with no more than 6 penalty points
- Friendly and empathetic demeanour
- Access to a 4‑door (minimum) car

- Basic IT skills (use of smartphone)
- Regulatory pre‑employment checks, including Disclosure and Barring Service and HMRC record available through Government Gateway
