An international group is looking for a Chief Accountant to own the day-to-day accounting for its UK entities. Reporting to the Managing Director, this is a hands‑on, standalone role focused on accurate financial records, statutory reporting, SAP support, and audit coordination. This role is based in central London.
Key Responsibilities
- Own day-to-day Accounting, including GL, AP/AR, payments, and reconciliations
- Lead month‑end and year‑end close for UK entities
- Prepare standalone statutory accounts and support group reporting
- Act as main contact for external auditors and tax advisors
- Support SAP implementation, data migration, and system accuracy
- Ensure compliance with UK GAAP/IFRS and internal controls
Qualifications
- 8+ years’ experience in Accounting, Reporting, or Audit
- Strong knowledge of UK GAAP or IFRS
- Knowledge of IFRS 10
- Experience preparing statutory financial statements
- Hands‑on ERP experience (SAP strongly preferred)
- Comfortable working independently and with senior stakeholders
