Are you an experienced Real Estate Solicitor (8yrs+) looking to make a significant impact within a dynamic and forward-thinking environment? This role offers a unique chance to provide legal advice on real estate, corporate, and general commercial matters, supporting the Head of Legal and the broader business for an iconic London development which is currently expanding its portfolio with new exciting phases where you'll focus on development and project work.

The Role

  • Engage in drafting and negotiating a wide variety of property documents, including long leases, joint venture agreements, and development agreements.
  • Lead or support various transactions such as real estate development financing and forward purchase/commit transactions.
  • Work alongside project management, development, leasing, and asset and estate management teams, providing legal support on a wide range of issues and documents.
  • Collaborate with internal teams including finance, communications, and leasing.

Strategic Influence

  • Play a crucial role in developing and executing legal strategy, including corporate structuring matters.
  • Provide general legal and strategic advice across the business, supporting the senior leadership team with strategic decision-making.

Leadership and Management

  • Manage direct reports, overseeing their output, training, and development.
  • Instruct and oversee external counsel, acting as the primary interface between external lawyers and internal stakeholders, and managing legal budgets.

Skills and Experience Required:

  • Ideally you will have 8+ yrs PQE as a Real Estate Solicitor, with mixed-use real estate development experience and strong commercial expertise.
  • A strong track record of advising on, drafting, and negotiating real estate contracts is essential.
  • Previous experience working in-house or acting as general counsel would be advantageous.
