Working Hours: Monday to Friday 8 am to 5 pm (40 hours per week)

Role Overview: Responsible for delivering the PMO strategy, governance and controls across programmes and projects, ensuring compliance, quality and financial discipline. Provides senior‑level reporting, manages risks, dependencies, change control and project closure activities. Oversees financial performance, budgeting, accruals, cash flow and supplier governance, acting as the PMO finance champion. Supports team capability through training, audits, inductions and health & safety compliance. Coordinates stakeholder engagement, bid governance, handovers and lessons learned, while motivating teams and providing operational support across the business.
What You’ll Do:
- Deliver the PMO strategy, embedding robust governance, controls and best practice
- Own programme reporting, providing clear updates to senior leaders and stakeholders
- Lead financial oversight across projects, including budgets, accruals, cash flow and KPIs
- Champion risk, change control, compliance, health & safety and audit requirements
- Manage supplier and subcontractor governance, contracts, POs and invoicing
- Support project delivery from mobilisation through to handover and close‑out
- Build a high‑performing team through training, coaching and collaboration
- Act as the PMO finance and operational expert, supporting the wider business
Who You’ll Be:
- An experienced project professional with a strong track record of delivering projects end‑to‑end with minimal supervision
- Confident leading and coordinating project teams of up to 25 people
- Highly organised, with proven capability in planning, risk, dependency and benefits management
- Financially astute, with hands‑on experience of project‑level budget and cost control
- A clear, persuasive communicator, able to influence and build trust at all levels
- A relationship‑driven leader who puts clients and customer service first
- Diplomatic and resilient, able to manage challenges, mediate issues and lead people professionally
- Technically confident with MS Office and project tools; PRINCE2, ILM3 and Power BI knowledge desirable
