Role Overview

Carrying out LOLER and PUWER inspections on Mechanical and Hydraulic GSE at Heathrow Airport, ensuring British Airways compliance. The role involves travel across engineering sites and collaboration with maintenance staff.

Responsibilities & Qualifications

  • Mechanical engineering qualification, minimum NVQ Level 3 (ideally HNC).
  • Hands‑on experience maintaining, repairing, servicing mechanical equipment (vehicles/GSE/lifting equipment).
  • Experience in inspecting; holding any LEEA certificates advantageous.
  • Good understanding of LOLER and PUWER regulations.
  • IT literacy; inspections completed on handheld device, experience with Microsoft Office advantageous.
  • Ability to write clear inspection reports detailing defects or recommendations.
  • Collaborative teamwork with maintenance and administration staff of the contract; willingness to carry out reasonable requests from management.
  • Can‑do attitude, self‑starter, able to work independently or in team.
  • Professional appearance, observe site rules, capable of risk assessments.
  • Ability to build relationships with internal staff and client.
  • Confidence in certifying equipment serviceability, writing and passing reports.
  • Willingness to support colleagues to meet contractual SLA’s.
  • Pass CRC to obtain airside pass.
  • Full UK driving licence.
  • +5 years employment history with references, able to explain gaps for airside pass.
