Role Overview
This role will carry out daily tasks to create a safe and secure working environment for all visitors and staff, while ensuring high standards of customer service.
What You’ll Do
- Demonstrate a positive commitment to a high level of customer service, professional presentation, and confidentiality at all times.
- Display excellent situational awareness.
- Facilitate access/egress to buildings while maintaining strong client-facing and customer service skills.
- Be aware of protest and demonstration activity and respond/escalate as appropriate.
- Assist staff, guests, contractors and public bodies by providing information, directions, or answering queries in a professional manner.
- Follow all operating procedures and maintain accurate records/logs, submitting reports as instructed.
- Assist during major incidents as instructed.
- Display your SIA licence visibly when on duty.
- Participate in staff welfare or development programmes and mandatory training.
- Use communication tools (radio/phones) confidently and clearly.
- Carry out any other reasonable requests as required.
Who You’ll Be
- Clearance to BS7858
- SIA Licence – Security Guard (SG)
- SIA Licence – Door Supervisor (DS) (if applicable to scope)
- SIA Licence – CCTV (if applicable to scope)
- First aid qualification
- Customer service experience
- Written and verbal communication skills to meet role deliverables
- Experience using IT software (Word, Teams, Outlook)
- Reliable, punctual and approachable
- Professional appearance and flexible in daily duties
- Ability to prioritise tasks and work under pressure
- Able to work alone with initiative and as part of a team
