Role: Scaffolder Labourer

Location: British Sugar, Bury St Edmunds, Suffolk, IP32 7BB

Salary: £27,770 per annum

Working Hours: Monday – Thursday 07:30 – 16:00; Friday 07:30 – 14:00

Contract Type: Permanent Full Time

Role Overview

Assist scaffolders with general scaffold / project maintenance support as part of a multi-disciplined team. This role covers both reactive and planned preventative maintenance.

What You\\\’ll Do

  • Routine planned Scaffold maintenance labouring tasks as directed by Site Manager / Supervisor, covering all aspects of scaffolding
  • Operate MEWP (an advantage)
  • Operate Forklift (an advantage)
  • Install and dismantle Pasma/stair towers (training to be provided)
  • Read and ensure relevant paperwork meets task requirements and standards
  • Care for and use scaffolding equipment properly
  • Support other team members
  • Carry out duties safely, tidily and in accordance with H&S requirements
  • Undertake other duties as reasonably requested by site management or the client
  • Follow EMCOR\\\’s code of conduct
  • Manage own workload and work efficiently
  • Comply with client rules and maintain a high standard of discipline
  • Provide a high standard of workmanship

Safety

  • Attend all relevant training and safety briefs
  • Adhere to company, client and regulatory safety rules
  • Work in a safe manner at all times
  • Participate in safe culture practices and promote good safety practices

Who You\\\’ll Be

  • An experienced, qualified Scaffold Labourer
  • Must have a COTS qualification to perform the role
  • General awareness of Health & Safety regulations
  • Willingness to undertake training and development as required
  • Experience in Health & Safety training
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team; proactive and keen to develop
  • Flexible approach to working hours; on-call roster
