To assist in all planned and unplanned mechanical engineering activities relating to the running of the on-site Steam and Condensate Network
What you will do:
As a Pipefitter\’s Mate, you will assist the Works Supervisor in carrying out various planned and reactive maintenance tasks, adhering to site and company regulations, procedures, and Safe Systems of Work. These tasks include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Assist Pipe Fitters in all planned and reactive tasks
- Ensure any repairs noticed during duties are reported to the Works Supervisor
- Carry out clearing of under growth from external steam and condensate pipework across site and painting pipe supports
- Escorting of sub-contractors/personnel who require escorting in order to complete their activities
- Comply with any reasonable request from line manager
- Comply with all Statutory Regulations and EFS Instructions
- Ensure all employee responsibilities in the EMCOR Code of Conduct are complied with
- Have knowledge of petrol fuelled generators and water pumps for planned maintenance of underground services.
