Salary: Up to £55,000 per annum + Overtime
Working Hours: Monday to Friday 8.00 am to 17.00 pm

About the role
Role Overview
To lead and manage a team of Technicians responsible for pressure systems, hot water/steam boilers, and lifting equipment. The role ensures statutory compliance (PSSR 2000, LOLER), contractual SLA/KPI delivery, and maximum availability of critical assets. The Team Leader provides technical guidance, manages subcontractors, and fosters a culture of safety and continuous improvement.
What you\’ll do:
- Lead a team to work safely and follow all legal and company procedures.
- Ensure tools, equipment, and systems (like pressure and lifting gear) are safe, compliant, and ready to use.
- Oversee maintenance and repairs of critical systems including boilers, cleanrooms, and data centres.
- Manage work orders from start to finish, including spare parts and stock levels.
- Coordinate subcontractors and ensure proper permits and safety processes are followed.
- Keep asset records accurate and up to date using CAFM systems.
- Communicate progress, risks, and delays clearly to management.
- Support and coach technicians, promote high standards, and step in for your manager when needed.
- Ensure work in GxP areas meets required standards and staff are properly trained.
- Manage a team of around 4 technicians, oversee training, compliance, and subcontractor activity.
- Who you\’ll be:
- NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in a mechanical trade discipline.
- Demonstrable hands-on maintenance experience in a critical environment.
- Strong awareness of health, safety, and compliance requirements.
- Ability to work independently and prioritise tasks effectively.
- Effective communication skills with peers, managers, and clients.
- Desirable – ILM Level 3 or higher
- Other Factors:
