Job Purpose: You will undertake a professional service for our clients working on a varied selection of HVAC, M&E and control systems. Helping with the delivery of mechanical work aspects and assist site supervisors to ensure all works are delivered in an effective, efficient and professional manner to the complete satisfaction of all our customers. To ensure the installations are to current regulations and to be able to work as a team member and manage the team and programme efficiently.
What you'll do:
- To carry out installation and remedial works on heating, ventilation and air conditioning systems within a live Data Centre environment.
- Ensure good relationships with site supervisors, fellow engineers, apprentices & customers when conducting works on site.
- Carry out all mechanical installations or repairs to plant in accordance with manufacturers schedules, EMCOR company standards & client’s requirements.
- Ensure good quality workmanship which upholds company standards, complies with building codes, and follows safety requirements.
- Ensure acceptable standards of productivity and workmanship are maintained in the execution of work.
- To read, understand & adhere to site RAMS for the work to be carried out & identify hazards to assist in the safe execution of site works.
- To identify any shortfalls in training with your supervisor and to work with the administration teams to ensure these gaps are closed.
Who you'll be:
- Qualified to City & Guilds level 2-3 or NVQ 2-3 as HVAC Installer Engineer.
- Experience of commercial mechanical installations.
- Experience of installation of chilled water & LTHW & MCW distribution systems.
- Experience of air handling & air conditioning systems is not essential but is advantageous.
- Knowledge of ventilation systems is not essential but would be advantageous.
- First Aid, IPAF and PASMA training will be provided if required but advantageous if already certified.
- Must hold a valid UK Driving Licence.
