About the role
Role Overview
As the HSE Advisor, you\\\’ll act as a key member of the Capital (Capex) project team.You\\\’ll p rovide expert Health & Safety guidance across all phases of construction projects, ensuring compliance with CDM2015, building regulations, and EMCOR UK/client standards.
What you\\\’ll do:
- Support the review of risk assessments, construction phase planning, and site welfare setup.
- Conduct audits, inspections, and compliance evaluations, driving corrective actions and continuous improvement.
- Promote a culture of wellbeing and safety through initiatives like Be There For Life and wellbeing initiatives set by EMCOR UK
- Assist in incident investigations and share lessons learned.
- Maintain ISO accreditations (9001, 45001, 14001) and contribute to inclusive policies supporting mental and physical wellbeing.
- Represent EMCOR UK at stakeholder forums, produce performance reports, and ensure subcontractor compliance.
- Collaborate with client HSEQ&W teams to deliver contract obligations and foster strong working relationships.
- Engage stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle, offering technical input from planning to completion and ensuring standards are upheld.
- Trend analysis of near misses and issues on customer site, in order to report to on any potential behavioural issues
Who you\\\’ll be:
- Qualified to NEBOSH General Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety as a minimum.
- Knowledge of HSQE systems and processes that meet the requirements of ISO 9001, 14001 and 45001.
- Must have proven knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and an understanding of SharePoint.
- Thorough knowledge of Construction Design Management (CDM) and duties of client, principal contractor and principal designers
- Ability to think and react to immediate problems and issues without losing sight of or compromising long term goals.
- High standard of personal integrity and professionalism with the adaptability to change.
- A minimum of 3 years’ experience in a construction
- Ability to work on own initiative and deliver key objectives
