Working Hours: 08:00am - 17:00pm - Monday - Friday

Contract Type: Permanent, Full Time

Job Purpose

EMCOR UK are looking for an Estimator with M&E and/or Buildings experience to support our growing project portfolios across the UK. This role is to support the growth targets for the National Projects team. To be located in Southampton. The successful candidate will have a good all‑round estimation capability and the ability to produce robust quality project proposals to include Cat A‑B fit outs, M&E, fabric, decoration, construction, flooring etc.

About The Role

What you’ll do:

  • Manage the bid and resource co‑ordination process.
  • Propose innovative solutions to deliver client requirements.
  • Prepare and compile proposal submissions for internal adjudication processes.
  • Take a proactive approach to continuous improvement in communications, management procedures and systems to maximise profitability and improve operational efficiencies.
  • Implement best practice arising from consultation and liaison with external bodies and other EFS divisions.
  • Use estimating package/systems to verify validity of bids.
  • Obtain specialist subcontractor costs.
  • Read and understand client requests/documentation.
  • Formulate bids based on client brief where required.

Who you’ll be

  • Educated to HNC/HND Standard (or equivalent).
  • Excellent management experience.
  • Hold relevant qualification in quantity surveying (degree level preferable).
  • Experience working within a QS capacity.
  • Relevant experience of estimating within the FM industry.
  • Experience of working in an SFG20 environment is desirable.
  • Proficient IT skills to include Word, PowerPoint and Excel.
