Job Purpose: To provide technical support for all critical infrastructure during planned and reactive tasks, ensuring a high level of availability across the site.

What you will do:

  • Conduct and record preventative maintenance and fault diagnosis of critical plant and equipment, and support the corrective actions identified.
  • Support and facilitate specialist subcontractors/vendors during planned, reactive, or project tasks while ensuring they conform to site procedures and safety documentation.
  • Monitor, maintain, investigate, and acknowledge the BMS and SCADA systems.
  • Undertake daily site checks to note and proactively repair any defects and maintain plant rooms in a clean, tidy, and safe condition.
  • Rectify and record defects through the helpdesk to ensure SLA timeframes are met.
  • Provide rapid and effective responses to customer and helpdesk requirements.
  • Ensure compliance and escalate any issues affecting the site’s availability, health, safety, and security.
  • Adhere to all current company and Critical Engineering Management policies.
  • Provide innovative solutions and recommendations to improve processes, buildings, plant, and systems.

Person Specification

What you will need:

  • Strong Mechanical and/or Electrical Knowledge & experience.
  • Eligible to obtain high-level security clearance (British passport holder + 10 years in the UK).
  • Good knowledge of Generators, Cooling systems, and UPS systems.
  • Hold a valid UK driving license.
  • Able to organise and manage your own workload.
  • Aware of site criticality and work risks.
  • Good admin skills with Microsoft packages.
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills.
