Salary: £47,000 p/a + Overtime + Company Van

Working hours: Monday - Friday, 08:00 - 17:00

Role Overview

To ensure that the delivery of electrical aspects is carried out effectively, efficiently and professionally to the complete satisfaction of all our customers. The installations must comply with current regulations. The role requires working as part of a team, managing the team, and ensuring the programme is delivered efficiently.

What You'll Do:

  • Lead and develop the EMCOR UK Projects team through effective communication, training and development, ensuring that staff members are fully competent and trained to undertake key tasks.
  • Support and manage with the Project Manager the electrical installation, ensuring that the Statement of Requirements (SOR) and associated drawings are followed.
  • Develop Risk Assessment Method Statements (RAMS) for the work to be carried out.
  • Work with the PM to capture all additional works and assist in producing supplementary SORs for variations as requested.
  • Support the safe working practices adopted by EMCOR UK teams and ensure all site teams complete the required skills for their role.
  • Develop partnerships with suppliers to achieve maximum mutual benefit and rationalise the supplier database.
  • Identify any shortfalls in operative training and work with administration teams to close these gaps.
  • Maintain day‐to‐day contact with the customer's representatives and attend meetings as directed by the PM.
  • Become a NICEIC Electrical qualifying supervisor and work with the Company NICEIC qualifying manager to ensure documents are completed and issued correctly.

Who You'll Be:

  • Qualified to City & Guilds 2360 Part 1 & 2 or equivalent NVQ & C&G 2382 -10 18th Edition, minimum requirements.
  • C&G 2391-10 Inspection & Testing.
  • C&G 2391-20 Design & Verification preferred; this or an equivalent will be provided to enable the QS role to be fulfilled.
  • Experience of commercial electrical installations.
  • Experience of installing LV distribution systems.
  • Experience of DC/UPS systems is not essential but is advantageous.
  • Experience of safe working practices and permit to work systems.
  • Demonstrable skills in dealing and working closely with internal and external customers and suppliers on complex and inter‐related issues on an ongoing basis.
  • Be able to communicate effectively and have a flexible approach to work patterns.
  • First Aid, IPAF and PASMA training will be provided if required but advantageous if already certified.
  • Management of an on‐site team essential.
  • Carry out daily briefings and actively seek to ensure SORs & drawings are followed.
  • UK travel may be required.
  • Must hold a valid UK Driving Licence.
  • Some out of hours work may be required from time to time.
  • Health, Safety and Wellbeing – required to work at height & under CDM regs.
  • Required to wear corporate PPE.
