Salary: £13.50 per hour + £2000 annual payment for obtaining and maintaining National Security Clearance

About The Role
To work as part of a team to provide cleaning services across a range of commercial facilities, including but not limited to offices, corridors, stairwells, meeting rooms and washrooms, including toilets and showers. Support the wider Soft Services team with setting up rooms for meetings, by moving furniture and preparing and cleaning after drinks and refreshments, and occasionally escorting site visitors and contractors.
What you’ll do:
- Carry out cleaning tasks to ensure the agreed company & client standards are maintained for all commercial facilities, as detailed in the site‑specific cleaning schedule.
- Support the wider Soft Services team, with furniture moves to prepare rooms for meetings, as per client requests, including refreshments and drinks, where requested.
- Clean meeting rooms after use.
- Ensure any repairs noticed during cleaning duties are reported to Line Manager, or Site Facilities Manager.
- Ensure a timely response to any service shortfalls identified by line management.
- Carry out additional or special cleans as instructed by line management, using equipment and chemicals appropriate to the task.
- Ensure adequate stocks of consumables are available in nominated cleaning stores and where necessary request replenishments to line manager in a timely manner.
- Ensure cleaning materials and machinery are used in line with COSHH or manufacturer guidelines.
- Comply with all Statutory Regulations.
- Adherence to employee responsibilities in the EMCOR Code of Conduct.
- Work safely in line with EMCOR UK Health & Safety Policies & Procedures, to prevent self and others.
Who You’ll Be:
- Previous experience of workplace cleaning would be an advantage.
- Physically able to move and carry light items, such as vacuum cleaners and mop buckets, up and down stairwells.
- Good time‑keeping.
- Experience of providing good customer service.
- Methodical and meticulous approach to work.
- Be able to read and speak English to ensure safe working practices are followed.
