Salary: £29,000 per annum

Working Hours: 09:00 – 17:00 Monday to Friday

Job Purpose: The postholder is responsible for delivering a seamless front-of-house, workplace, and events experience within the two main BBC buildings in Belfast. The role ensures all visitors, staff, and stakeholders receive a high standard of customer service, while maintaining operational readiness across reception, workplace services, and event coordination. The post holder acts as a central point of contact for customer service, workplace coordination, and event management, ensuring the environment is safe, efficient, and aligned with business needs.

Duties:

  • Customer Experience & Front of House: Deliver a professional, welcoming, and consistent customer experience. Act as a key point of contact for queries, requests, and issues. Manage visitor access, passes, and host notifications. Operate telephones/switchboard in line with service levels, answering, screening, and forwarding calls, taking messages when appropriate.
  • Workplace & Facilities Coordination: Ensure workplaces, meeting rooms, and shared spaces are maintained and always ready for business, this includes room layout, cleanliness, equipment testing and stock replenishment and all vendor services requested are delivered on time and to specification.
  • Events Coordination: Coordinate and support the planning and delivery of on-site events. Act as primary contact for event requests and stakeholder coordination.
  • Administration & Systems: Maintain records, logs, and helpdesk tasks. Manage correspondence and communications ensuring all tasks are logged with the helpdesk and a record of all tasks is kept.
  • Health, Safety & Compliance: Liaise with and assist the BBC team as regards company H&S policies & procedures. Responsible for health & safety to ensure that any unsafe items/areas are dealt with immediately and ensure all people always adopt safe working practices as reasonably practicable and noticeboards refreshed.
  • Quality & Continuous Improvement: Conduct regular checks/floor walks of designated area to ensure workplace standards are always maintained i.e. cleanliness, maintenance, replenishment. Conduct service quality checks.

Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines. Proactive and solution-focused approach. Strong stakeholder management. IT literate (Microsoft Office, email systems, trackers). Understanding of workplace operations and health & safety.
