Role Overview:

To learn the skills needed to carry out planned preventative maintenance, fault diagnosis, and repair on various mechanical and electrical plant and equipment, including:

  • Electrical building tests
  • Electrical / Mechanical fault finding
  • Refrigeration and air conditioning maintenance
  • Heating and ventilation systems
  • Industrial boilers and controls
  • Hot water and water distribution systems
  • Steam distribution systems
  • Compressed air systems
  • Condition monitoring and thermography

Person Specification:

Who you\'ll be:

  • Studying or qualified in Maths, English, and Science or a craft-based subject to a minimum grade C
  • Articulate, numerate, and IT literate
  • Understanding of FM and Building Services Engineering
  • Ability to identify health, safety, and environmental issues
  • Good communication skills
  • Resilient under pressure, confident in communicating with staff, suppliers, and customers at all levels
