Are you an experienced 2nd Line Engineer ready to take the next step towards 3rd Line? We are working with a growing, fast-paced tech business in Nottinghamshire that is looking for a client-focused IT Support Engineer to join their close-knit team.
If you are keen to work across a variety of technologies, get involved in project work, and expand your technical capabilities – this could be the opportunity you’ve been waiting for. This is a hybrid role, blending remote work with time at their offices and regular client visits across the East Midlands. It’s a hands-on, customer-facing role where you will be part of a collaborative team supporting a broad and interesting client base.
What you will be doing:
- Act as a key escalation point for 1st/2nd line tickets and take ownership of complex technical issues.
- Support and contribute to infrastructure upgrade and migration projects.
- Administer and troubleshoot Microsoft 365 services (Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams, OneDrive).
- Investigate and resolve networking issues (VPNs, DNS, DHCP, firewalls, routing).
- Provide root cause analysis and deliver permanent fixes.
- Deliver excellent customer service through clear communication and on-site support.
- Help maintain and develop internal documentation and knowledge sharing processes.
- Support occasional out-of-hours work for critical projects or support.
What we are looking for:
- Solid experience in a 2nd Line Support or similar technical role.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft 365 administration and support.
- Experience with Intune / Endpoint Manager and Windows Server environments.
- Familiar with Azure Active Directory (AAD) and modern workplace technologies.
- Confident with troubleshooting networking components (firewalls, VPNs, switches, routers).
- A natural problem-solver who is keen to take on more responsibility and deepen technical skills.
- Excellent communication skills – you will be client-facing and part of a team.
- A full UK driving licence and happy to travel to local client sites.
