Position: Permanent

Salary: Circa £35,000 per annum

EMBS Engineering is currently working in partnership with a well-established precision engineering company that offers Fabrication & Machining solutions to lucrative, high-profile industry sectors, supporting some of the world's most recognised OEMs. Situated on the outskirts of Derby, our client is seeking a Quality Engineer to join their business on a permanent basis. The successful individual will be joining a talented team of engineers, supporting in the development and growth of the business.

Key Accountabilities

  • Support the delivery of quality, cost and delivery standards
  • Maintaining and reporting against KPIs to identify problems and implement solutions
  • Support the delivery of NPI projects (New Product Implementations)
  • Reviewing NCRs (Non-Conformance Reports)
  • Support internal, 3rd party and customer system and/or process audits
  • Create First Article Inspection Reports (FAIRs)

What experience do you need?

  • Strong Senior Quality Engineering experience, specifically within Aerospace, with NADCAP experience, is essential.
  • Experience within NDT and/or Heat treatment would be advantageous
  • Understanding of basic core quality tools - PPAP, APQP, FMEA, MSA
  • Knowledge and problem solving, including root cause, corrective action, non-conformance management and continuous improvement
  • Experience in maintaining, improving and developing QMS
  • Experience in auditing preferred
