EMBS Engineering is currently recruiting for a Purchasing Coordinator to join a dynamic and growing team, focused on managing sub-contracting processes for machined and assembled parts. This role is key to coordinating deliveries, managing relationships with sub-contractors, and ensuring the efficient flow of materials in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities of a Purchasing Coordinator:
- Coordinate sub-contractor processes for machined and assembled parts (Plating, Paint, Anodising, Heat Treatment)
- Work with internal teams and suppliers to negotiate timelines, delivery schedules, and pricing
- Organise transport and delivery of materials using both company vans and third-party couriers, deciding the most efficient option based on the delivery requirements
- Build strong relationships with sub-contractor suppliers, ensuring timely and efficient delivery of parts
- Expedite deliveries and manage multiple priorities, ensuring that urgent requests are handled appropriately without disrupting the overall schedule
- Participate in daily operations meetings, providing updates on the status of parts and deliveries
- Maintain organised records and schedules to ensure accuracy and efficient tracking of deliveries and supplies
Requirements for the Purchasing Coordinator Role:
- Experience in managing multiple suppliers simultaneously (more than 10 suppliers)
- Strong communication skills to build effective relationships with internal teams and external suppliers
- Ability to work under pressure, managing competing priorities and urgent requests from different departments
- Knowledge of logistics, with the ability to organise and plan transport schedules efficiently
- Experience in purchasing, expediting, or buying
- Resilient, adaptable, and proactive in solving problems or overcoming challenges
- Excellent organisational skills and the ability to work methodically in a fast-paced environment
