EMBS Engineering is currently recruiting for a skilled Purchasing Administrator to join a precision engineering company located near Redditch, working on a permanent basis. Due to the nature of the markets our client supplies into, all candidates must be UK residents, and DBS checks will be required. Please note we cannot offer visa sponsorship for overseas candidates.

Your responsibilities include:
- Handling requisitions for indirect supplies and raising, amending, and managing purchase orders
- Daily maintenance of Excel spreadsheets, trackers, and KPIs
- Supporting internal stakeholders with requisition submissions and quotation requests
- Reviewing requisitions on a weekly basis to monitor budget adherence and cost control
- Liaising with finance teams regarding PO adjustments, invoice queries, and payment processes
- Supporting continuous improvement initiatives as the role develops toward indirect buying
Successful applicants MUST be able to demonstrate:
- Strong administrative background is essential
- Experience within purchasing, procurement, finance, or invoice/order processing is highly desirable
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities
- Demonstrates excellent attention to detail, particularly with invoices, purchase orders, and records
- Confident using Excel for trackers, reporting, KPIs, and basic data analysis
- Proactive, adaptable, and keen to learn with a long-term interest in procurement
