CAD CAM Engineer in Nottingham

CAD CAM Engineer\\nSalary: £45,000 – £47,000\\nLocation: Nottingham\\nJob Type: Permanent\\n\\nEMBS Engineering is working in partnership with a market-leading, precision engineering company that specialises in the manufacture of small to medium-sized, safety-critical components, supplied predominantly into the aerospace and defence markets.\\n\\nThis position is a critical, hands-on role and will involve supporting a busy engineering department in a technical capacity. You will be responsible for developing manufacturing methods including continuous improvements on existing products, managing NPI & improvement projects & supporting the day-to-day running of the department.\\n\\nKey benefits on offer:\\n\\n * Stability / Longevity – Permanent position\\n\\n * Competitive salary – Negotiable depending on experience £45,000 – £47,000\\n\\n * Hours: 39 per week Monday – Thursday 7am – 4pm Friday 7am – 12pm\\n\\n * Days\\n\\n * Additional permanent benefits\\n\\n * Modern working environment\\n\\nYour responsibilities include:\\n\\n * Previous Manufacturing Engineering experience within a precision engineering / advanced manufacturing environment\\n\\n * Preferably, experience having worked in the Aerospace industry or on components that are supplied into the Aerospace market\\n\\n * Extensive engineering background\\n\\n * Knowledge of multi-axis machining\\n\\n * Ability to perform offline NC Programming using CAD CAM software (CATIA V5, EdgeCAM or Unigraphics)\\n\\n * Ability to create programs online using Fanuc or Mazatrol software\\n\\n * Knowledge of Vericut or other verification software\\n\\n * Ability to identify a method of manufacture and engineering planning for manufacture and reworks\\n\\n * Capable of producing technical documentation packs, including Work Instructions, SOP's Visual Aid Procedures\\n\\n * Tooling and fixture design to aid machining and inspection activities are essential\\n\\n * Ability to create and drive a resource plan to achieve specific deadlines\\n\\n * Demonstrate experience of leadership responsibilities\\n\\n * Proven experience carrying out Continuous Improvement activities\\n\\n * Strong GD&T knowledge\\n\\nSuccessful applicants MUST be able to demonstrate:\\n\\nSolid experience as a Manufacturing Engineer who is keen to develop and progress their career.
