Embross is looking for a Contract Manager to join our team. The Contract Manager will be a key player in the sales process, helping ensure the efficient and effective close of business under consistent and favourable contract terms. This position will oversee the administration of the sales contracts process from start to finish.
The Contract Manager will be responsible for managing contracts with Embross customers and partners globally with responsibilities including:
- Managing Embross contract templates (General Terms, Statements of Work, etc.)
- Tailoring contract templates to specific opportunities
- Reviewing customer-provided contracts
- Tracking and handling renewals
- Negotiating contracts with customers
The Contract Manager will also play a key role in the procurement process, ensuring favourable terms and pricing with our vendors globally. This includes working alongside operations teams to drive the contract review and administration process.
Key responsibilities include:
- Managing the contracting process with global partners and customers
- Coordinating contract verbiage with internal departments including Finance, Sales, and Operations
- Drafting, managing, and implementing all contract templates
- Identifying needs for outside counsel
- Managing contract lifecycles and acting as the point of contact for contractual issues
- Documenting customer correspondence and status reports
- Updating and revising Embross’ standard contracts
- Organising workflows for reviewing current processes
- Providing contract-related support for the Sales team throughout the sales process
Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Other Characteristics:
- Ability to review Prime Contracts, Subcontracts, License Agreements, and similar documents
- Experience in drafting and negotiation of Contracts
- Developing and maintaining efficient systems for identifying commercial issues
- Ensuring accurate issue files for all contractual/commercial issues
- Performing periodic risk assessments
- Assisting bids and proposals teams in reviewing legal terms
This role is demanding, and it is expected that the successful candidate will work at times outside of normal business hours.
Education, Experience and Skills:
- Bachelor’s or higher degree in law
- 5+ years experience in Contract Management
- Excellent project and time management skills
- Meticulous attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in English
Preferred Experience and Skills:
- Experience working with cross-functional teams
- Information technology experience
Location: Candidates located within commuting distance of our Gatwick Airport office will follow a hybrid work schedule. Candidates located outside the area may work remotely.
Travel Requirements: Job responsibilities will most typically be performed from Embross’ facilities, but travel will be required as part of contract negotiations.
