Embrace Care is a specialist provider supporting adults and young people with Autism, ADHD, Learning Disabilities, and Mental Health needs. We operate CQC-regulated adult services in Chester and Ofsted-regulated children’s residential homes in Preston. Due to continued growth, we are looking for an experienced Recruitment Assistant to join the team.
The Recruitment Assistant supports the recruitment function by coordinating and administering the end-to-end recruitment process for a variety of roles across Embrace Care’s CQC-regulated adult services and Ofsted-regulated children’s residential homes. The role conducts candidate pre-screening and supports all recruitment activities, ensuring we comply with safer recruitment practices and relevant regulatory standards.
- Candidate Sourcing and Pre-Screening
- Conduct initial pre-screening calls via Teams to assess candidate suitability, experience and motivation for working in the care sector.
- Record screening outcomes accurately and provide clear feedback.
- Review applications and shortlist candidates against role requirements.
- Identify and approach potential candidates, promoting Embrace Care as an employer of choice.
- Build and maintain talent pools.
- Recruitment Administration
- Provide administrative support throughout the recruitment process from vacancy approval to onboarding.
- Schedule interviews and maintain regular communication with candidates and hiring managers.
- Maintain accurate candidate records within the recruitment database in line with GDPR requirements.
- Support the preparation of recruitment reports and metrics including time-to-hire and vacancy status.
- Provide clear communication regarding recruitment stages, documentation requirements, and onboarding timelines.
- Ensure a positive candidate experience that reflects Embrace Care’s values.
Essential Skills and Experience
- Previous experience in recruitment, resourcing or talent acquisition.
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
- Confidence in speaking with candidates and clients at all levels.
- Ability to manage multiple vacancies simultaneously.
- Excellent organisational and database management skills.
- Experience using an application tracking system (desirable).
