We are now looking for a passionate and experienced Therapeutic Practitioner – PBS to join our Therapeutic Department and help embed meaningful, evidence-based practice across our services. The Role
As a Therapeutic Practitioner – PBS, you will play a key role in supporting the implementation of our therapeutic model and Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) frameworks across children’s and adult services. You will work closely with operational teams, Therapeutic Leads, and specialists to ensure therapeutic approaches are consistently embedded into daily care practice. The role combines hands‑on support, coaching, quality assurance, and service development, helping to create environments where individuals feel safe, understood, and supported to achieve positive outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the development and implementation of Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) plans
- Conduct PERMA and Quality of Life assessments across services
- Coach and mentor teams in therapeutic and trauma‑informed approaches
- Ensure therapeutic interventions are embedded consistently within homes
- Provide feedback on PBS effectiveness and practical application
- Support audits, quality assurance, and therapeutic reporting processes
- Identify themes, risks, and areas for development within services
- Conduct regular visits across Ofsted and CQC regulated services
- Promote reflective practice and continuous improvement across the organisation
What We’re Looking For
- Qualification in PBS (BTEC, BILD accredited training, or equivalent)
- Experience delivering PBS within social care settings
- Experience supporting children and/or vulnerable adults
- Experience working within mental health services
- Strong communication, coaching, and relationship‑building skills
- Ability to translate therapeutic theory into everyday practice
- Strong organisational and reporting skills
- Compassionate, emotionally intelligent, and adaptable approach
Desirable
- Degree in Psychology, Social Care, or related field
- Mental Health First Aid qualification (or equivalent)
- ASD and/or LD training
- Working towards UK SBA supervised practice hours
- Existing Therapeutic Champion status (internal candidates)
