Support Worker – Specialist Adult Residential (CQC)

Location: Chester

Pay Rate: £13.50 – £14.00 per hour + paid sleep-ins

Hours: Full-time, Permanent (Includes day shifts, weekends, and sleep-ins)

At Embrace Care, we know that being a Support Worker is about so much more than following a routine. It's about building genuine trust, being a reliable presence in someone's life, and helping adults with complex needs feel safe, valued, and empowered every single day.

Whether you're brand new to care or bringing previous experience, we provide the initial coaching, continuous development, and supportive team culture to help you thrive from day one.

The Reality of the Role:

We believe in total honesty: specialist adult care is deeply rewarding, but it comes with real responsibilities. The adults we support may have autism, learning disabilities, mental health challenges, and emotional or behavioural needs.

This isn't a fast-turnaround, drop-in care environment; you will be part of a dedicated supported living environment. We need individuals who are resilient, empathetic, and open-minded, people who are ready to learn positive behaviour support, understand sensory needs, and support individuals through the challenging moments with patience and warmth.

Why You'll Love Growing Your Career with Us:

If you want a job that offers true job security, personal fulfilment, and room to grow, Embrace Care is designed for you.

  • Real Career Progression: We actively support your care qualifications and provide a clear pathway to progress into Senior Support Worker, Deputy Manager, and Service Manager roles
  • Focus on Relationships: We give you the time and stability to build deep, meaningful connections with residents, their families, and a tight-knit team that supports you on every shift
  • A Supportive Environment: You'll work alongside experienced Senior Support Workers and approachable managers who listen, back you up, and celebrate your wins

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Supporting Daily Life: Assisting with daily routines, meal preparation, personal care, and developing key independent living skills
  • Building Relationships: Getting to know our supported adults as individuals, understanding their passions, sensory preferences, and communication styles
  • Promoting Community Inclusion: Helping residents access local community activities, hobbies, outings, and leisure events
  • Maintaining Safety & Wellbeing: Following person-centred care plans, positive behaviour support strategies, and safeguarding guidelines to maintain a calm, structured, and therapeutic home environment

What We're Looking For:

  • A patient, respectful attitude is key to this role
  • Experience supporting individuals living with autism, mental health needs, or behavioural challenges is essential.
  • Comfortable with personal care tasks and working a rotational shift pattern including weekends and sleep-ins
  • A full UK driving licence is essential

Benefits:

  • Pay: £13.50 – £14.00 per hour + paid sleep-ins
  • Health & Wellbeing: Medicash healthcare plan covering dental, optical, and physiotherapy
  • Time Off: 28 days' annual leave (pro rata, including bank holidays)
  • Training & Development: Fully paid induction, continuous training, and funded care qualifications
  • Perks: £1,000 Refer-a-Friend bonus, free on-site parking, and annual staff awards

Ready to Make a Meaningful Difference and Build a Career in Care:

If you're looking for a supportive team where you are valued and given room to grow, we'd love to hear from you.

(Please note: Appointment is subject to an enhanced DBS check, satisfactory references, and safer recruitment checks.)
