Looking to start or grow a career in social care with an employer recognised as one of The Sunday Times Best Places to Work 2026? At Embrace Care, we know that being a Support Worker is about so much more than following a routine. It's about building genuine trust, being a reliable presence in someone's life, and helping adults with complex needs feel safe, valued, and empowered every single day.

The reality of the role: We believe in total honesty: specialist adult residential care is deeply rewarding, but it comes with real responsibilities. The adults we support may have autism, learning disabilities, mental health challenges, and emotional or behavioural needs. This isn't fast-turnaround, drop-in care; you will be part of a dedicated residential home environment. We need individuals who are resilient, empathetic, and open-minded - people who are ready to learn positive behaviour support, understand sensory needs, and support residents through the challenging moments with patience and warmth.

Why you'll love growing your career with us:

  • Real Career Progression: We actively support your care qualifications and provide a clear pathway to progress into Senior Support Worker, Deputy Manager, and Service Manager roles.
  • Focus on Relationships: We give you the time and stability to build deep, meaningful connections with residents, their families, and a tight-knit team that supports you on every shift.
  • A Supportive Environment: You'll work alongside experienced Senior Support Workers and approachable managers who listen, back you up, and celebrate your wins.

What you'll be doing:

  • Supporting Daily Life: Assisting with daily routines, meal preparation, personal care, and developing key independent living skills.
  • Building Relationships: Getting to know our supported adults as individuals - understanding their passions, sensory preferences, and communication styles.
  • Promoting Community Inclusion: Helping residents access local community activities, hobbies, outings, and leisure events.
  • Maintaining Safety & Wellbeing: Following person-centred care plans, positive behaviour support strategies, and safeguarding guidelines to maintain a calm, structured, and therapeutic home environment.

What we're looking for:

  • No previous care experience required - we hire for empathy, reliability, and values, and provide full, paid training.
  • Experience in adult care, mental health support, or customer-facing roles is a bonus, but a patient, respectful attitude is what matters most.
  • Willingness to support individuals living with autism, mental health needs, or behavioural challenges.
  • Comfort with personal care tasks and working a rotational shift pattern including weekends and sleep-ins.
  • Full right to work in the UK.
  • A full UK driving licence is desirable.

What You'll Receive in Return:

  • Pay: £13.50 - £14.00 per hour + paid sleep-ins.
  • Health & Wellbeing: Medicash healthcare plan covering dental, optical, and physiotherapy.
  • Time Off: 28 days' annual leave (pro rata, including bank holidays).
  • Training & Development: Fully paid induction, continuous training, and funded care qualifications.
  • Perks: £1,000 Refer-a-Friend bonus, free on-site parking, and annual staff awards.
