Job Summary: An established and financially secure facilities and building services business is looking to appoint an M E Estimator to support a growing pipeline of Mechanical, Electrical and HVAC projects. You'll be joining a stable, well-structured team delivering projects across the public sector and direct client environments, with typical values ranging from £25k to £1.5m. This is a role where your input genuinely influences project wins, commercial outcomes, and long-term growth. About the role:
- Producing accurate, competitive M E tenders using estimating software
- Managing tenders from enquiry through to submission, end to end
- Reviewing drawings, specifications and tender documentation to identify risk and opportunity
- Preparing clear, well-presented qualitative and commercial submissions
- Analysing subcontractor and supplier quotations for compliance and value
- Attending site surveys and tender meetings where required
- Supporting project teams during handover to ensure a smooth commercial transition
About you:
- Demonstrable experience of Estimating either Mechanical OR Electrical
- Confidence reading and working from construction drawings
- The ability to juggle multiple tenders without quality dropping
- Strong commercial awareness and attention to detail
- Experience with estimating software and Microsoft Office
- A proactive, organised approach and clear communication style
- Full UK driving licence
- Ability to pass DBS / background checks (projects include schools and secure sites)
