Freelance Event Team Members - Live Personalisation

Freelance On-site
Embosseur

Embosseur is a Live Personalisation Studio bringing craftsmanship to corporate events, brand activations, trade shows and other live events.

Specialising in on-site product personalisation, we help brands make their corporate gifting more memorable. Using techniques such as hot foil stamping, engraving and various methods of colour application, carefully selected products are transformed into bespoke personalised gifts tailored to each event.

Our passion lies in perfecting our techniques and finding creative ways to customise products. We love seeing the results of our work come to life at our clients' events.

Who we're looking for

As Embosseur grows, we're looking to connect with people interested in joining our network of freelance event team members for upcoming bookings across the UK and, occasionally, abroad.

We're particularly interested in people who enjoy making things and have an interest in craftsmanship or creative techniques. You might already be a craftsperson or maker, enjoy creative hobbies, be studying a related subject or simply love working with your hands.

We're also interested in people with experience working at events, whether as hosts, event staff or in event coordination and management. If you're comfortable engaging with event attendees and working in a live event environment, we'd love to hear from you.

Previous experience with hot foil stamping or engraving isn't necessary, as we'll provide paid training on our equipment. However, if you have experience with these or other personalisation techniques, please let us know.

What the work involves

This is freelance event work focused on live product personalisation, combining hands-on techniques with the practicalities of working at events.

Depending on the booking, tasks may include:

  • Setting up our equipment and preparing products before an event.
  • Operating hot foil stamping, engraving and other personalisation equipment.
  • Personalising products accurately and efficiently during live events.
  • Processing orders through our own digital system, designed to keep the process organised and efficient.
  • Engaging with attendees, explaining personalisation options and answering questions where needed.
  • Checking finished products, keeping the workspace organised and helping with pack-down.

Precision and efficiency are essential. At live events, producing high-quality results while keeping orders moving and queues manageable is a key part of the job. You'll learn how to balance attention to detail with the pace of a busy event, supported by our equipment, training and digital ordering system.

The balance between operating the equipment and interacting with attendees will vary depending on the event.

Every booking is different. Opportunities span different venues, companies and audiences, with event lengths and working hours varying according to the project. It's an opportunity to be part of a range of corporate events and brand activations while developing practical skills.

With the busy Christmas period approaching, we're keen to start building relationships with people who may be available to join us for upcoming seasonal events. Beyond Christmas, opportunities will depend on confirmed projects and how the business develops. This is best suited to people who value flexible, booking-by-booking work rather than guaranteed hours.

Some events take place outside the UK. International travel isn't required, but if you're happy to travel, there may be opportunities to work with us further afield.

Pay, training and opportunities to grow

The starting rate is Β£23 per hour, with paid training provided. You'll be working with Embosseur's own equipment and technology, and we'll make sure you're properly trained before operating the machinery at events - a few hours per technique are often enough to start.

As Embosseur expands, there may be opportunities for higher hourly rates and supervisory roles at events for those who develop the necessary skills and experience. We're also open to bringing people into the business in a more permanent capacity in the future, as new opportunities arise.

We aim to offer competitive pay for event work and will cover lunch costs where the shift and event arrangements require you to work through the day away from home. Travel and other expenses will be discussed and agreed for each booking.

This is a self-employed freelance opportunity, with freelancers responsible for their own tax and National Insurance obligations where applicable.

Interested?

If you enjoy making things, appreciate craftsmanship or enjoy being part of live events and engaging with attendees, we'd like to hear from you.

Tell us a little about yourself, your interests or relevant experience, and what appeals to you about working with Embosseur. We're interested in people with different strengths who are keen to learn and contribute to a growing business.
