We are looking for an enthusiastic communications specialist with strong content production skills. As a member of EMBL's distributed Communications group and EMBL-EBI's Communications team, you will produce high-quality content and support the day-to-day running of social media. You will also use your media relations skills to identify and get press coverage for EMBL-EBI stories.
You have:
- Experience of developing engaging content for a variety of platforms and audiences and a talent for telling stories using creative and innovative approaches.
- Experience of pitching technical stories to the media, identifying stories with media potential, working with journalists and briefing spokespeople.
- Experience and understanding of how to produce content for and manage digital channels including social media.
- An understanding of best practice approaches in evaluating communications activities.
- A passion for science and technology and a well-developed ability to build relationships and work as part of a team.
You may also have:
- Another European language.
- Experience in search engine and AI search optimisation, event management or experience creating digital assets using tools such as Adobe Creative Suite.
Benefits and Contract Information:
- Financial incentives: depending on circumstances, monthly family/marriage allowance of £272, monthly child allowance of £328 per child, non-resident allowance up to £556 per month.
