Head Bar Tender for new restaurant Emberwood opening at the Francis Hotel Bath, 40 hours per week, evening and weekend availability, £12.95 per hour plus service charge and great benefits.
Shifts: 5 days out of 7.
About the role:
The hotel is embarking on a multi-million-pound transformation, the new all day brasserie restaurant will be Bath's stand out dining experience. Working with the Bar Manager, you will have the opportunity to take Emberwood's bar team through the opening, guiding and coaching in the pre-opening phase. From the opening, the head bartender will lead by example supporting the bar team and working with all departments within the Restaurant and Bar. As a leader, your guidance and training will help us to realise our goal of creating an approachable but fantastic cocktail experience that Bath residents, tourists, and hotel guests will enjoy.
Requirements:
- 3 years experience in hospitality F&B
- Excellent customer service, engagement and bar knowledge
- Comfortable training or coaching bar tenders and bar backs in the team
- Positive hard-working attitude and a willingness to go above and beyond for the guests
- Ensuring accuracy in drinks making, bar service, and overall conduct on the bar
- High personal presentation standards and expectations
Responsibilities:
- Coordinating and supporting the bar tending team to ensure efficient service
- Overseeing the cocktail bar, snug and lounge areas maintaining standards and guest satisfaction
- Clearly conveying information to both guests and staff, facilitating smooth running of drinks service
- Resolving any issues or complaints to maintain guest satisfaction and escalating where necessary
- Working with the bar manager to set up and deliver cocktail lists, drinks lists and hot beverages solutions
- Mentoring and training bar staff to maintain high standards of professionalism and service
