Overview
Ember – UK\’s first fully‑electric, zero‑emission coach company – is looking for professional drivers across Scotland to join our growing team in Thurso. Various start dates are available from mid‑April 2025.
Responsibilities
- Drive the coach safely and efficiently, ensuring on‑time arrivals.
- Serve as the main point of contact for passengers, handling any issues or requests.
- Maintain the coach’s cleanliness and appearance during each trip.
- Use Ember’s new technology to enhance the customer experience.
- Apply safety and regulatory standards, demonstrating smooth braking and safe driving.
- Provide input on improvements in a constructive manner.
Hours and Schedule
Ember operates a 24/7, seven‑day service across Scotland; drivers must be able to rotate through a variety of shifts. Overtime opportunities are often available on short notice. We provide five weeks’ notice of the rota.
Benefits
- £15.00 per hour starting rate with a guaranteed 40 hours per week (£31,200 pa); overtime on top.
- £15.80 per hour after one year (£32,864 pa).
- £16.40 per hour as an Ember Ambassador (£34,112 pa).
- Relief contracts – £16.81 per hour (£15.00 base + holiday in lieu).
- Overtime rates starting at £18.00 per hour.
- Free CPC renewal for full‑time and part‑time drivers.
