Ember Software is seeking an experienced .NET Software Engineer to join our one of our clients on a contract basis. You’ll work on modern, scalable applications using the latest Microsoft technologies within the logistics sector, contributing to full-cycle development — from architecture and design to deployment. This role is outside IR35 and offers the flexibility of remote work, with occasional collaboration sessions in London.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain high-quality software using C# and the .NET ecosystem
- Build and integrate RESTful APIs and microservices-based solutions
- Collaborate with DevOps engineers to support CI/CD pipelines and cloud deployments (Azure preferred)
- Ensure code quality through automated testing, code reviews, and best practices
- Work closely with stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical solutions
- Contribute to continuous improvement in engineering processes and tools
Key Skills & Experience
- Strong experience in C#, .NET Core, and ASP.NET
- Solid understanding of SQL Server and Entity Framework
- Experience with Azure, Docker, or Kubernetes is highly desirable
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, or Jenkins)
- Strong understanding of SOLID principles and clean architecture
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
