Embassy Summer, under its parent company EC English, offers award-winning summer vacation programmes for young people across multiple locations in the UK, Malta, Spain, South Africa & UAE. Students learn English or Spanish whilst immersing themselves in the local culture and surroundings. Our programmes are a combination of language classes, exciting excursions and fun-filled sporting, creative and social activities.
The Activity Manager is responsible for the organisation and delivery of a high-quality activity and excursion programme for students, which includes inspiring, training and managing Activity Leaders to achieve this goal. In addition, they also are responsible for the safe delivery and coordination of all logistics necessary for both onsite and off-site activities.
Key Responsibilities:- Promoting and safeguarding the welfare of students for whom you are responsible and with whom you come into contact.
- Manage, lead, and inspire the activity team to deliver the activity programme.
- Maximise student and group leader satisfaction by ensuring their excursion and onsite activity experiences meet their expectations.
- Ensure the activities operate to the highest standards of relevant Health & Safety and safeguarding.
- Ensure cost-effective planning of the excursion and activity programme in line with centre budgets.
- Manage, amend or cancel all attraction bookings, social spaces and transport in line with the requirements of the activity programme.
- Keep accurate records of excursions and subsequent changes.
- Ensure the Group Leader trip feedback form is completed in a timely manner using the appropriate QR codes.
- Training, leading, supporting and inspiring the Activity Team.
- Hold regular meetings with Group leaders and assist in the Group leader induction process.
- Prepare and update the activity programme in consultation with Centre Manager and the supporting Programme Manager.
- Effectively upsell optional trips and ensure advertising in centre.
- Ensure any supplementary attractions and coaches are booked within budget.
- Work in consultation with Centre Manager on a weekly staff rota.
- Create daily working rotas for Activity Staff and make any amendments in consultation with Centre Manager.
- Create a positive working relationship with all stakeholders.
- Work alongside the Welfare Manager to ensure that all risk assessments are completed and implemented by all the activity staff.
- Assist with all student arrivals and departures.
- Work with Director of Studies and Centre Manager on the centre split to ensure excursion programme requirements are met.
- Carry out operational and residential duties to meet centre needs, as well as emergency phone cover on a rota basis.
- Create a positive, inclusive and safe workplace environment.
- This role requires regular physical activity, including walking, lifting, and carrying stock to support daily operations.
The job holder will be expected to operate in accordance with the company’s Code of Conduct, and any local policies and operating procedures relating to academic, welfare and safeguarding matters. Employees are required to cooperate fully with all arrangements in place related to Health and Safety which include implementation and compliance with control measures resultant from risk assessments and engagement with, and completion of, any relevant Health and Safety training.
Education & Training:- Educated to Degree level or equivalent/or working towards.
- Safeguarding Level 1 and 2.
- First Aid Certificate.
- Management experience.
- Experience working with juniors.
- Experience working in a summer school environment.
- Experience in a role involving organisation / logistics / travel / sales.
- Ability to lead and inspire a team.
- Practical knowledge of Microsoft Office packages.

Remuneration:Gross weekly pay: From £915.95. FREE Full board residential accommodation included.
Staff Uniform:All staff are required to wear the designated company uniform while on duty. Employees must ensure that the uniform is worn properly, maintained in a clean and presentable condition, and always adheres to the company’s dress code standards.
