Position Summary: The Academic Administrator reports to the Director of Studies. Their role is to carry out the administrative tasks of the Academic Department promptly and accurately.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensuring the smooth running of the academic department in collaboration with the Director of Studies.
  • Promoting and safeguarding the welfare of students with whom you come into contact.
  • Maximise student and Group leader satisfaction by dealing with classing and level queries.

Specific Responsibilities:

  • Monitoring and checking attendance.
  • Assisting with testing and induction days.
  • Collating test results.
  • Assigning students to classes and communicating class allocation.
  • Assigning teachers to classes.
  • Printing and displaying class lists in a timely manner.
  • Printing certificates and reports.
  • Monitor branded stock and ensuring the teacher’s rooms are stocked with required resources.
  • Check technology in classrooms, if required.
  • Ensuring all student feedback is collected prior to student departure.
  • Ensure contracted teacher centre duties are fulfilled.
  • To carry out centre duties to meet the operational needs of the centre.
  • To create a positive, inclusive and safe workplace environment.

Organisational Compliance: The job holder will be expected to operate in accordance with the company’s Code of Conduct, and any local policies and operating procedures relating to academic, welfare and safeguarding matters. Employees are required to cooperate fully with all arrangements in place related to Health and Safety which include implementation and compliance with control measures resultant from risk assessments and engagement with, and completion of, any relevant Health and Safety training.

Education Required: To have excellent Excel and other Microsoft Office skills.

Education Desired: Educated to Degree Level or equivalent (Level 6 Qualifications and Credit Framework) CELTA, Trinity ESOL or To have completed a TEFL course (min 120 hours input).

Working week: 6 days out of 7 (1 day off per week). All management roles are residential.

Remuneration: Gross weekly pay: £698.98 (Basic weekly pay: £623.70 + Holiday pay: £75.28). FREE Full board residential accommodation included.

Staff uniform: All staff are required to wear the designated company uniform while on duty. Employees must ensure that the uniform is worn properly, maintained in a clean and presentable condition, and always adheres to the company’s dress code standards.

Disclosure and Barring Service: If you do not have a valid Enhanced DBS and are not subscribed to the DBS update service, we will need to apply for a new Enhanced DBS for you. Please confirm this at the time of application.
