About Embassy of Beauty

Embassy of Beauty exists to discover the unseen in beauty. We seek out the world's most niche and exceptional beauty brands — hidden gems that deliver remarkable results — and bring them to customers who care about authenticity, efficacy and transparency. Every brand we carry is curated with integrity and tested by our own team before it ever reaches a customer. We began as the UK home of Biologique Recherche and have grown into a curated multi-brand retailer, trading in the UK and newly launched in the US. We're a small, ambitious team where your work is visible in the numbers every single week.

The role

We're looking for one person to own our paid acquisition and email/CRM performance end to end: Google Ads, Meta, and Klaviyo. This is a hands-in-the-accounts role, not a coordination role — you'll set strategy, build and optimise campaigns and flows yourself, and be accountable for the results. You'll work closely with our Ecommerce Manager and in-house designer, and with external partners where we use them.

What you'll do

  • Paid media (Google & Meta)
    • Own campaign strategy, structure, budgets and day-to-day optimisation across Google Ads (Search, Shopping, Performance Max) and Meta, for both UK and US markets.
    • Manage the balance between brand and non-brand, prospecting and retargeting — with a clear mandate to grow new-customer acquisition, our number-one commercial priority.
    • Brief and iterate ad creative with our designer, grounded in what the data says converts.
    • Manage Meta frequency, creative fatigue and audience health proactively.
  • Email & retention (Klaviyo)
    • Own the full Klaviyo programme: core flows (welcome, abandonment, post-purchase, win-back, replenishment), campaign calendar, segmentation and deliverability.
    • Build the bridge between acquisition and retention — for example, turning sample orders into first full-price purchases.
    • Grow flow revenue as a share of total email revenue, and report on it honestly.
  • Measurement & tracking
    • Own conversion tracking integrity across GA4, Google Tag Manager, the Meta pixel/CAPI and Shopify — and treat Shopify as the source of truth, not platform-attributed numbers.
    • Diagnose and fix tracking issues quickly when they arise.
    • Produce clear weekly reporting on the KPIs that matter: new-customer revenue share, brand vs non-brand performance, blended and channel ROAS/CAC.

What we're looking for

  • 4+ years hands-on managing Google Ads and Meta accounts yourself (not via an agency you briefed) for a DTC/ecommerce business.
  • Genuine Klaviyo depth: you've owned a programme end to end and can tell us what share of revenue your flows drove and how you grew it.
  • Strong analytical instincts: comfortable in GA4 and GTM, sceptical of platform attribution, able to spot when the data is lying to you.
  • Shopify experience.
  • Clear, direct communicator who can explain performance to non-specialists without hiding behind jargon.

Bonus points for:

  • Premium beauty, skincare or luxury DTC experience.
  • Experience launching or scaling a new geographic market (especially the US).
  • Experience taking over accounts from an agency.
