Embark Learning Care Academy is an award-winning training provider, rated "Good" by Ofsted and officially certified as a Great Place to Work 2025–2026. We deliver Health & Social Care training across Birmingham, the Black Country, and surrounding areas from our head office in Sutton Coldfield. We're passionate about training the next generation of amazing carers while helping existing care professionals maintain their skills and competency through refresher and specialist training.

This is not a remote role – you'll be supporting learners face-to-face in classroom and workplace settings.

The Role

  • Delivering Health & Social Care qualifications at Levels 1–3 (government-funded and commercial programmes)
  • Refresher training for professionals to maintain skills and compliance
  • Stand-alone training sessions in a range of care-related topics

Responsibilities include:

  • Delivering training in classroom and workplace care settings (no "death by PowerPoint")
  • Assessing learners' knowledge and skills and providing constructive feedback
  • Supporting continuous learner progress and maintaining accurate records
  • Collaborating with colleagues to enhance training programmes and share best practice
  • Staying updated with industry standards and compliance requirements

What We're Looking For

  • Proven experience in the Health & Social Care sector (essential)
  • Experience training and assessing care qualifications/training in a classroom or workplace care setting
  • A Level 3 teaching qualification (AET) or higher (essential)
  • An assessor qualification (CAVA, A1, D32/33) – preferred or willingness to work towards
  • Confidence, enthusiasm, and commitment to CPD
  • Access to your own car and willingness to travel across Birmingham & the Black Country

Salary

Salary £29,000–£39,000 (dependent on experience and qualifications). Higher salaries within this band are reserved for Lead Tutors / Advanced Practitioners.
