We are a leading UK B2B media, events and information business with a portfolio of 40+ specialist brands and c.£50m in revenue. As we continue to evolve towards an audience-led, events and subscription-driven model, we are seeking a Divisional Managing Director to lead one of our most important business units.
The CONE division is a c.£13m revenue portfolio spanning market-leading brands across healthcare, construction and local government, with a strong events base and significant opportunity for further growth.
The Opportunity
This is a full P&L leadership role with genuine autonomy and scope to shape the future of the division. You will take ownership of a multi-revenue model business (events, subscriptions and digital), with a clear mandate to accelerate growth, strengthen audience engagement and evolve the product mix. This role will particularly suit leaders who have operated in scaled B2B environments and are looking for broader ownership, faster decision-making and the ability to directly influence outcomes.
What You’ll Be Responsible For
- Full ownership of divisional revenue, profit and strategic direction
- Scaling a high-performing events portfolio, with a focus on growth, yield and customer experience
- Driving subscription growth (including premium and corporate) and improving engagement and retention
- Identifying and launching new products, events and revenue streams
- Leading and developing a cross-functional leadership team across editorial, events, sales and marketing
- Driving operational efficiency and leveraging data, technology and AI to improve performance
- Positioning the division strongly within its markets and building senior external relationships
What We’re Looking For
- Proven P&L leadership in a B2B media, events or information business
- Strong track record managing multi-revenue streams (events, subscriptions, digital)
- Experience leading sizeable, cross-functional teams
- Commercially driven, with the ability to balance strategy and execution
- Track record of delivering growth in evolving or changing markets
- Comfortable operating with autonomy and accountability
