This is an exciting and rewarding opportunity to help make a real difference to the local community of Emanuel School.

The role

As Co-ordinator of Community Partnerships, you will support the delivery of Emanuel School\’s outreach and partnership programmes. These programmes support a culture of community service provided by our pupils and improve accessibility and outcomes for disadvantaged children and families in the local area.

The focus of this role is to co-ordinate and administer these programmes and the delivery of partnership work with local primary and secondary schools and community organisations.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting the organisation and smooth running of the partnership strategy
  • Maintaining relationships with local schools and charities regarding the placement of Emanuel pupils in partner schools and on projects
  • Delivering positive and consistent messages about the outreach and partnership programmes via written publications, social media channels and the school website

This role is term time only. Flexibility will be needed according to planned events, and some evenings may be required.

About you

We welcome applications from candidates from a variety of professional backgrounds with transferable skills and experience, who are confident and personable, and able to demonstrate a record of developing and sustaining positive working relationships.

You may have worked in schools, charities, youth programmes or community organisations and are motivated by creating opportunities for children and young peopleparticularly those from disadvantaged backgrounds.

The role requires regular contact with local schools, organisations, charities and stakeholders, so it suits someone who is warm, personable and confident engaging with a wide range of people.

You will need excellent written and spoken English, along with the ability to effectively plan, resource, and organise projects and tasks and remain calm under pressure.
