If you offer strong administrative skills, enjoy working with people and would like to develop broader experience across admissions, marketing and communications, this is an exciting opportunity to play a key role supporting a busy Admissions and Marketing team within a friendly, ambitious and busy school environment.

You will play an important part in creating a warm, professional and welcoming experience for prospective pupils looking to join Emanuel School and their families, helping them get to know the school and supporting them through the admissions journey.

Working closely with the Head of Admissions and Marketing and colleagues across the school, you will support all aspects of the admissions process, from responding to enquiries and processing registrations to helping manage applicant data, school reports, references and onboarding information. You will also help build positive relationships with families, feeder schools and visitors, ensuring every interaction reflects Emanuel's values and reputation.

Alongside admissions, you will contribute to the school's marketing and communications activity. This will include supporting digital and printed communications, helping source stories, images and content from across the school, preparing materials for events, and using tools such as Canva and Adobe to help produce engaging marketing assets. You will also assist with open events, assessments, induction events and occasional visits to local feeder schools.

About you

You do not need to have worked in a school before. We are interested in hearing from candidates with strong administrative experience, excellent communication skills and a warm, professional manner. You may come from education, marketing, customer service, events, professional services, charities or another people-focused environment.

You will be highly organised, confident using Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint, and comfortable using digital tools to support communication and administration. You will have good attention to detail, sound judgement and the discretion needed to handle confidential information. Experience of Canva, Adobe, school databases or events would be useful, but is not essential.

Working at Emanuel

There is always a buzz at Emanuel. Colleagues enjoy their work and, like the pupils, are ambitious for the school. With a weekly staff briefing, half termly staff meetings, termly consultative group meetings and a common room committee, all of us are engaged in a lively ongoing dialogue about the school's aims and aspirations.

Everyone works hard here, and anyone joining us should expect to do the same and share our commitment to the highest standards. At the same time our ethos remains unpretentious, kindly and practical, and there's a strong sense of community and friendship at the school.

We aim to look after our staff well: we have an appraisal scheme with a focus on employees' professional development; we sponsor postgraduate courses and a range of training opportunities; we offer salary sacrifice childcare vouchers through TEDS Premier, we offer a healthcare plan via Simply Health that includes counselling and medical support; and we're committed to supporting staff wellbeing. Financially, all staff benefit from good pension provision and free lunches.
