We are seeking an experienced Quantexa Model Tuning Consultant to optimise, calibrate, and validate transaction monitoring models within a Financial Crime programme. You will be responsible for improving detection effectiveness, reducing false positives, and ensuring monitoring scenarios align with regulatory requirements and business risk appetite. Working closely with Compliance, Financial Crime, Data, and Technology teams, you will drive the enhancement of transaction monitoring scenarios, thresholds, scorecards, and segmentation strategies, while supporting model testing, validation, and deployment activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Tune, calibrate, and optimise Quantexa transaction monitoring models and scenarios.
- Design and enhance monitoring rules, thresholds, scorecards, and segmentation frameworks.
- Perform model testing and analysis, including back-testing, sensitivity testing, threshold analysis, and performance benchmarking.
- Support model validation and governance activities through documentation and performance reporting.
- Refine customer and transaction segmentation approaches to improve detection outcomes.
- Translate business and regulatory requirements into technical configurations and solution designs.
- Collaborate with engineering and data teams to implement and deploy model enhancements.
- Engage with Compliance, Risk, Operations, and Technology stakeholders to ensure regulatory alignment.
- Drive improvements in data quality, controls, and lineage supporting transaction monitoring.
Required Skills & Experience
- Proven experience in transaction monitoring model tuning and optimisation, ideally within Quantexa.
- Strong knowledge of transaction monitoring, scenario design, scorecard development, segmentation, and model calibration.
- Experience conducting back-testing, threshold analysis, sensitivity testing, and performance assessments.
- Understanding of model validation, governance frameworks, and regulatory expectations.
- Strong knowledge of AML and Financial Crime regulations, including CDD, EDD, sanctions, and SAR reporting.
- Experience working with engineering teams through build, testing, and deployment life cycles.
- Knowledge of data modelling, data architecture, and large-scale Financial Crime transformation programmes.
- Strong stakeholder management, communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
