We are seeking a Trade Surveillance Business Analyst (BA) who will play a pivotal role in strengthening internal compliance and surveillance framework. The position focuses on two key projects aimed at upgrading and enhancing trade surveillance capabilities, including the Trade Surveillance Check-Up and Upgrade. The BA will partner closely with Compliance, Technology, and Surveillance teams to ensure systems, controls, and processes meet regulatory expectations and internal risk standards.

Main Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with Compliance, Surveillance, and Technology stakeholders to gather, validate, and document business requirements for the Check-Up, upgrade and related surveillance enhancements.
  • Manage and deliver successfully across two concurrent surveillance projects, ensuring milestones, timelines, and quality standards are fully achieved.
  • Analyse regulatory and compliance benchmarks, providing recommendations to strengthen surveillance workflows, with attention to KYC and AML best practices.
  • Support end-to-end project lifecycle activities, including requirement definition, testing coordination, issue resolution, and implementation readiness.

Key Requirements

  • Strong background in Trade Surveillance (TS), ideally within financial markets or regulated environments.
  • Solid knowledge of Compliance frameworks, including market abuse, conduct risk, and surveillance controls.
  • Demonstrated business analysis expertise, including requirements gathering, process mapping, and stakeholder engagement.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, delivering on time and to scope in fast-paced environments.
  • Knowledge of KYC and AML regulations and their application within surveillance and compliance functions.
  • Familiarity with trade surveillance tools, alerting systems, and methodologies (e.g., market abuse models, communication monitoring, exception analytics).
