We are seeking a Loan Subject Matter Expert within Treasury who will lead the extraction, interpretation, and refinement of loan data for liquidity and resolution use cases. This role requires deep knowledge of loan attributes and their impact on liquidity metrics and regulatory reporting, including expectations from the Bank of England (BoE) and the HKMA. Strong stakeholder management skills across Treasury, Finance, Risk, Technology, and Data teams are essential for driving successful delivery.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Define, interpret, and govern loan attributes used in Treasury liquidity and resolution processes.
  • Lead data refinery extraction activities including source-to-target mapping and data quality controls.
  • Translate business requirements into clear data specifications.
  • Partner with Technology/Data teams for accurate implementation of rules in pipelines and data models.
  • Apply Treasury liquidity concepts to loan data usage.
  • Ensure loan attribute treatment supports resolution-related needs.
  • Manage multiple stakeholders aligning priorities and resolving conflicts.
  • Chair working sessions to agree definitions and sign off outcomes.
  • Provide status reporting, RAID management, and delivery plans.
  • Maintain robust documentation including data dictionaries and business rules.

Key Requirements:

  • Strong SME knowledge of loan products and attributes.
  • Proven experience in data extraction/refinery work.
  • Working knowledge of Treasury liquidity concepts.
  • Familiarity with resolution/resolvability rules.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills.
  • Excellent written communication abilities.

Nice to Have:

  • Experience with liquidity/regulatory reporting in a global bank.
  • Understanding of data management disciplines (BCBS 239 principles).
  • Hands-on experience with data tooling (e.g., SQL).
  • Experience in agile delivery environments (Jira/Confluence).
