The main function of this role involves serving as a key liaison between Finance, Data, and Technology, ensuring effective change management and delivering solutions that align with company objectives. As a Finance Business Analyst, you will be responsible for driving change initiatives across the finance portfolio, leveraging subject matter expertise to deliver impactful solutions and support ongoing transformation programs.
Main ResponsibilitiesDrive change initiatives within the Finance portfolio, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
Manage stakeholder relationships across Finance and Data to ensure successful delivery within the Change portfolio.
Support Project Managers and business partners with subject matter expertise, analysis, and problem-solving.
Provide SME input to Technology initiatives, acting as a contact point for Finance and Data managers regarding TEC input.
Perform SQL queries and conduct systems analysis independently.
Lead Business Analyst engagements throughout the project life cycle, from requirements gathering to testing and implementation.
Communicate effectively using strong written and verbal skills to build collaborative relationships.
Troubleshoot issues and assist Business-as-Usual (BAU) support teams.
Work flexibly to adapt to changing business needs.
Promote and uphold a values-led culture across the organization.
Strong communication skills (both written and verbal).
Experience managing senior technology professionals within a top-tier bank or consultancy.
Proven track record of delivering large-scale projects, preferably with international exposure.
Solid business analysis experience within a top-tier financial institution.
Strong understanding of the project life cycle and software development life cycles.
Knowledge of finance regulations (eg, IFRS9) and financial products.
Accounting qualifications (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) or equivalent technical accounting experience.
Experience with Murex trading platforms.
Knowledge of Regulatory Capital and Liquidity metrics.
Familiarity with financial investment products.
Experience with Subledger and General Ledger accounting applications.
Attention to detail with a client-centric mindset.
