We are seeking an experienced Business Analyst to join the Technology Management Team to support a critical regulatory initiative. This role focuses on delivering compliance with PRA Basel 3.1 regulations by 1 January 2027, with a particular emphasis on Basic Approach Credit Valuation Adjustment (BA-CVA). You will play a key role in validating and testing vendor-provided BA-CVA calculations, ensuring accuracy, transparency, and regulatory compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyse and validate BA-CVA calculations delivered by a third-party vendor
- Collaborate with technical teams to document, review, and test calculation methodologies
- Produce high-quality Business Requirements Documents (BRDs) and Functional Specifications
- Document workflows, processes, and findings clearly for stakeholders
- Engage with stakeholders to gather requirements and obtain sign-off
- Support end-to-end User Acceptance Testing (UAT), including test planning and execution
- Develop and maintain test plans, test cases, and test results documentation
- Liaise directly with the external vendor where required
- Present proposed solutions and testing approaches to stakeholders
- Provide project updates, highlight risks, and escalate issues where necessary
Key Requirements
- 5+ years' experience as a Business Analyst within Credit Risk/CVA projects
- Strong expertise in Credit Valuation Adjustment (CVA) calculations
- Proven experience working with vendor-managed solutions and integrations
- Demonstrated ability to deliver within regulatory-driven projects
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
- Experience with Moody's Risk Authority (RAY)
- Background in regulatory reporting initiatives
- Knowledge of derivatives products
